Sweet and Savoury (North East) Ltd is putting itself into pole position to grow sales of our Love Popcorn brand with our logos now featuring on the side of the #81 Team Redline Racing car of Matty Graham in the 2020 Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
Our eye-catching diamond sits prominantly on the car in several places and will allow us to promote our products across the UK.
Racing as part of British Touring Car Championship race meetings, Love Popcorn will be seen by up to 24 million people via live terrestrial TV coverage of the Carrera Cup races on ITV4.
The exposure will be supported by targeted social media activity and will see Sweet and Savoury look to introduce our popcorn to a new audience via the link to the UK’s fastest, single-make, GT racing series.
With customers able to order 13 different flavours across two ranges directly, we are aiming to use the Porsche Carrera Cup as a vehicle to grow those orders and offset some of the impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Graham said: “Since investing in a new website at the end of 2019, we have seen a steady increase in the number of sales of our Love Popcorn range and by using my racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup, we are hoping that we can continue that growth.
“By showing our branding via a sporting championship, we are hoping to diversify our target market and introduce ourselves to a whole new demographic of customers.”
The season got off to a great start, with Matty taking a sixth place and a fourth place finish from the opening two races at Donington Park and looking to build his title challenge as the championship head’s to Brands Hatch this weekend.
